Jason Bacon is the founder of Sunstone Strategic, an advisory and consulting firm and brings over a decade of experience in supporting small and medium sized businesses all across Canada. With the beginning of his career spent in the finance industry, he quickly became a champion of entrepreneurship and has been a full time business owner for the past 5 years. In addition to that, he is also the author of “Entepreneur-ish” which takes lessons in entrepreneurship from historical stories of vikings, pirates and samurai.

Having advised thousands of entrepreneurs all across Canada, Jason saw a gap when it came to AI, automation and it’s use in small businesses. He’s a firm believer that AI and automation are meant to help us go further, faster and not as a replacement for humans. It’s from that belief that Sidekick Digital was born, with a simple mission of making technology accessible and impactful for organizations across Canada.

Bob Schouten

Bob Schouten is the founder of Operational Network Solutions, a cybersecurity and high-risk networking firm based in Edmonton, Alberta. With 15 years of experience protecting critical infrastructure in the power industry, he’s spent his career operating behind the scenes where reliability matters most.

Now, he brings that experience to small businesses, helping owners spot risks early, strengthen their defenses, and turn potential threats into opportunities. Sidekick Digital exists as the steady sidekick; providing practical guidance, technical muscle, and calm support so business owners can stay focused on being the hero of their own story.
